
Replacing a critical flare tower upper deck component at an active Woodside facility demanded high tolerance fabrication using specialised and exotic materials, with zero room for error and no flexibility on delivery.
Existing design drawings were used to build a detailed 3D model, guiding material procurement and fabrication planning. High precision CNC pressing, laser cutting and certified welding were combined with advanced distortion control to maintain dimensional accuracy throughout. Final site measurements informed last minute design refinements before passivation, rigging and transport.
